The ASpida project is one of the BMP Grant edition 2 winners – an innovative community-based programme that aims to tackle the effects of stigma in chronic pain. After three years of research, the ASpida team developed a pioneer community-based brief intervention to provide individual psychological skills that minimise the negative impact of stigma. The programme will be officially launched as an awareness day event by the partner patient organisation Chronic Pain Ireland against stigma across several local communities in the Republic of Ireland.
